Instructions
Pre-Sandwich tasks
  1. Preheat the oven to 350. Next cut your bread, tomato, and wash your basil.
  2. Then, take whole bunch of garlic, wrap it into foil, drizzle olive oil over it, close, and bake 30-40 minutes.
  3. Remove garlic from the oven, remove casing, and add 75% of the cloves to a bowl or plate and mash with a fork. Add 3-4 Tablespoons of avocado mayo to a bowl then add the roasted garlic, and sprinkle some oregano on top and stir.
Chicago Style Italian Grinder
  1. First, either brush or drizzle olive oil to the interior and exterior of the baguette.
  2. Starting from the bottom, first, add the layers of cheese, any flavor you desire, but at least 2-3 pieces. Next, the prosciutto1-2 pieces, then capicola, 2-3 pieces then another layer of cheeses, then add then salami.
  3. Then, spread the garlic mayo underneath the top of the bread.
  4. Next, wrap loosely in aluminum foil, almost tented and bake for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven, raise the oven temp to 375 and bake open for an additional 3-5 minutes.
  5. Lastly, remove from the oven, add fresh sliced tomatoes, basil leaves, remainder of the roasted garlic cloves, and hot/mild giardiniera….so unbelievably delicious, I Fell Off the Damn Wagon On Thursday after making it….AKA, Lacked All Self Control, It Is That GOOD….Enjoy!!!
