- 1/4 Cup Grated Italian Cheese

Instructions
Prepping the Artichokes
- First, remove the thorns at the top of the artichoke by slicing them off then cut the stem at the bottom.
- Next, rinse the artichoke and open the petals by banging the artichoke down on a cutting board a couple times, petal side down.
- Then, add the chopped garlic, Italian bread crumbs, Italian grated cheese, flaxseed meal, and olive oil to a bowl and mix.
- Add, water slowly just to make the stuffing slightly damp. You may not use the whole amount.
- Then make sure the leaves are open and start sprinkling the stuffing into the artichoke either by hand or with a small spoon, making sure that most leaves are stuffed.
Steaming Artichokes
- Add, water to a pot with a steaming insert. Add about 2 inches of water to the bottom of a medium to large pot.
- Next, place your artichokes in and cook over a low heat for 2-2.5 hours. After 1.5 hours, you may want to add 1/4-1/2 cup more of water depending on how long you want to cook them.
- Finally, turn off and let them cool down for 15-20 minutes and serve....Enjoy!!!
